    Dead Baterry

As Sheena had decided to cook breakfast today, we had to go to the market and get some groceries. So as we hoped into the car that's when I found out the car baterry was dead. I remember changing it only a few months back but the Waja is just a baterry energy sucking vampire. It has happened before, barely 5-6 months and the baterry gives way and it all started when I changed to those new batteries that does not require you to fill in the baterry water. It's those modern ones where there's a light signal to tell if and when the baterry is weak.

In the end I had to call the workshop and they sent a mechanic over to change my baterry. I opted for the old school types where you filled up the water. Still that cost me a whopping RM160. Let's hope my pay comes in before the 29th so I can head down to Penang for the Merdeka weekend. Anybody who is willing to contribute, please be my guest. You just have to pay for fuel and toll. I'll bring the battery. Heh!

    Ponder

I have been consumed by what I hate. What I used to think was wrong. Life is peculiar, you sometimes think you know where you’re going but every once in a while there’s that bend in the road and you can’t see the big picture anymore.

“Is this what you really want?” she asked.

I was left to ponder my actions, that I was following my heart and it will be all right. I assured myself. I am quite excited actually, like a burden off my shoulders. Actions should have been taken long before now. Now that it has, a new challenge lies ahead.

Maybe I should be more ambitious but let’s stick to what there is rather than straying too far into the future. There should be a plan somewhere. I will get into the feel within the coming months and make my plans from then on.

"This should be good." I thought, "Time for some Winning Eleven..."

    Rompin

Recently HP held a boot camp Kuala Rompin, Pahang. Summerset Colonial Hotel & Villas to be more exact. It was to introduce the new Blades Server that was coming out as well as most of the Mid Range family products. There were loads of games, food and an abundance of alcohol. Sheena actually came on the second last day, very sweet of her. Driving all the way, and trust me it's a long drive. I'll leave you guys with some pictures, which I must credit to Mr. Lee Kim Liang, my colleague from the Penang branch. He brought his sweet Digital SLR with him.

    The seaside was really windy

These buggy's were some awesome wheels. Imagine go karting for rough terrains

My team actually finished third overall in the competition. We were actually at no.1 by the end of the second day but we blew it all during our physical portion of the competition. We won this 60GB external Hard Drive which doesn't work on my mac. Fuck!

All i all, it was good fun, meeting new friends and consuming way too much alcohol

    Tagged or not?

This is a conversation with Meng and I, basically he had a tag on his blog and listed me as one of his links of friends with their own blog. So I'm not sure whether it's just the list or that I actually got tagged myself.

    ian says:
you listed me in the tag ah
    ian says:
does that mean i have to do the tag also?
    Maui wauie says:
    yes
    Maui wauie says:
    LOL
    Maui wauie says:
    :¬)
    ian says:
    the fuck?
    ian says:
    so pointless....
    Maui wauie says:
    old skkol

So here goes the pointless tag. I need to list out 5 friends with blogs.

    1. Sheena, me darlings.
    2. Kev, Mr. Broken Scar himself!
    3. Simran, dude you should continue blogging, you write well!
    4. Vivian, my cousin who apparently does morphine...
    5. Ju, Meng's niece who is 5 months older(I basically ran out of friends with blogs so I've gotta re-post Ju's blog eventhough it's already in Meng's).

So to be clear on this, all those that I've linked here you guys are tagged. Happy tagging!(eventhough it's a bloody waste of time...)

    Couldn't be bothered

I was supposed to finish up this freelance job I got tonight but I just couldn’t be bothered. It’s a bloody weekend for crying out loud.

I just want to chill. I can’t be bothered about work and serving customers to that extra degree just to show added value. Who needs the extra work and stress? It’s not like I get paid extra for any of this shit! Couldn’t be fuck about my manager text messaging me in the middle of the night asking me about updates on his account while he’s on holiday in China.

Partly why I haven’t handed my resignation letter to my GM is because I want to hand it up to my manager and see the reaction on his face when I tell him. No changing my mind this time, no empty promises of a brighter future can keep me at this job any longer. No more facing fuckass jackass customers face to face.

I’m excited about the new job, the possibility of a new start. Though I will miss the perks of IT Sales such as getaway trips to Rompin (which I am still to blog about) and of course the countless amount of free booze!

What the heck! The alcohol was killing me anyway. So time to chill and dream of a better future to come...

    Change

Over the past few months, I haven't really been able to focus on work. Having passed down my resignation a few months back, I came to thinking again that maybe I should quit and pursue a career in advertising but I decided to revoked the letter of resignation. The last time I went for an interview, I got smacked right down to the ground, mainly because I had no advertising experience hence my decision not to quit this current job.

Meng will be the first to acknowledge my ranting (Sorry dude for all the MSN rants! Hehe). A change was needed as I was rotting at work and Meng was actually counting the times I rant to him about my job in a week. It got kind of depressing. As if a twist of fate, Ben, Ju’s brother, called me. Telling me he was currently running an advertising agency and needed some help when the workload got too much to handle. He was offering me some freelance job.

Rewind back a couple of months when Ju actually called me up, telling me that her friends ran this advertising agency and wanted to sell it off or something. Ben and she were trying to get buyers for the place and they were asking if Meng and I would be interested in working there as the buyers knew nothing about running an ad agency. We had our doubts because the whole situation seems kind of dodgy. No offence guys!

And now fast forward back to when Ben gave me a call. We decided to meet up and have a chat. I also really wanted to check out his office, so I insisted in meeting up there. I really liked the office and the environment. It was a corner house in SS2, facing a field and was a very quiet housing area, away from the highway. The ground floor was the sales and administration office and on the mezzanine floor was the designers’ office. It was clean but messy but like Meng said, “If and ad agency is tidy, you know it’s not doing too well.”

Ben then offered me a full time position as his most (and only) senior designer handed in his resignation on that day itself. After discussing some terms with him, he wanted me to meet with the owners to fasten up the process of hiring me. I was nervous as shit, knowing owners they can sometimes be very intimidating.

After advice from Meng and Elaine, I steadied my ship and gave them what I would think to be one hell of a presentation, selling more of myself than my artworks which mostly consist of College work. So now I’m halfway through the door, just need to get my resignation from this company out of the way. It’s just my boss has not been in the office the whole day and I’ve got my resignation letter lying on my desk.

So hopefully I get to do that soon and here’s to change.

    Hourly Rate

While picking up Ryan from Pudu one day, I noticed this sign...

Sometimes it's not worth advertising that you're a whore house. Hehe.

    All Marche-d Out

On Sunday, Sheena and I decided to go for lunch at Marche, The Curve. She was telling me how it was and "all you can eat" restaurant. I clearly insisted that I remembered my colleagues talking about it but it was only for a certain day. The rest of the days, it's ala carte but she kept insisting that it was one price for as much food as you want! Since I'm wrong most of the time, I decided to go along with what she said.

When we arrived, the waiter gave us two cards(kinda like the coffee bean cards where they chop if everytime you buy drink) for us to get chopped everytime we order food. This meant we had to pay for every food we ordered... ala carte style! I was right for once, hehe but we decided to eat there anyway.

I was right! Only available on a Tuesday. With some strick terms and conditions...

Everything looked so good there, we kinda over ordered. We got half a roasted chicken, smoked salmon pizza, chicken cream sauce pasta and a salami sausage - 1 foot. To our amazement the food really sucked. The chicken was a knock off from Kenny Rogers. The salmon on the pizza was too salty. The pasta plained sucked and the salami sausage was also too salty. We still pigged out because we were starving.

We needed TJ's help to finish the pizza though. He then complained that his Fish & Chips took 20 minutes to arrive as everybody was cutting his cue. The bill came up to a whopping RM 122. With TJ's portion only RM16. Fucking "all you can eat" my ass!

    Bambo9??

On Saturday night, after watching The Simpsons Movie, I went for a birthday party. It was a friend of Sheena's. So basically it was Sheena, Ju, Ben (Ju's brother) and his girlfriend, Vicky, Dawn and her two friends which I really can't remember their names. I think one of them was John.

Anyway the party was at TTDI, in a club called Bamboo. It was my first time there and when I arrived, the sign of the placed spelled Bambo9. You guys get it? As in Bambo-9, well without the dash in the middle. So I was pretty much wondering whether it was actually called Bambo-9, or it's just one of those cool text messaging short forms like "sk8ter" or "10ks 4 d gift" kinda thing. If it was one of those, it was not a very good one. I mean at least "sk8ter"'s got some substance and some balance in the word.

Sara (Sheena's birthday-girl friend) calls the place Bamboo and so does everyone else. So who am I to argue? Anyway here are some pics from the night.

Oh and on the way back, we stopped by at Rainforest to meet up with another friend of Sheena's. Julian was this butch lesbian with a nice lesbian partner. When Mr. Timberlake's Sexy Back came on, I got some nice piece of lesbian action happening in front of me. Sorry no pictures though... You've just got to trust me on this one. Hehe.

    The Simpsons Movie

Finally it arrives after about a year knowing that The Simpsons are coming to the big screen. Every true fan should watch this movie. It is hilarious. By far the funniest movie I have watched this year. 90 minutes of freaking laughter!
