    Weekend

This weekend was supposed to be spent in Penang. There was hesitant before making the decision not to go. Resources were tapped out quite dry and my pay came one day too late. Well there will always be next weekend.

What bothers me more is that weekends in KL are getting very redundant. Sheena made plans though, with Ju, TJ and a couple of her friends. We're watching The Simpsons movie! I think we've got to attend a birthday party as well. Swimming on Sunday morning and maybe football in the evening. I guessed it'll be a nice change to this gloomy KL weather. It's also better than staying home all day playing Winning Eleven on the PS2.

Penang would have been great though. Chugging down a few beers with Meng and Vig. Anyway, will report back on the weekend activities. As for now, I have to go hit the PS2 and get my daily dose of some Winning Eleven Action.

Anything you can do, I can do better

For those following F1, you should be aware of the on-going saga that is the Alonso-Hamilton rivalry. Basically for those who don't know, Hamilton's the young rookie who's been winning more races than the current champion, Alonso. Hamilton has really been impressive, to quote my dad, "Those days when 20 white men chased a black man they call it kunta-kunte, now it's called F1."

And did I mention that they're in the same team? McLaren Mercedez.

Now Mercedez has used this to their advantage by producing a brilliant ad. PURE MARKETING GENIUS!.

And the Mercs are damn fucking sweet too!

    Semi-Final

After work and dinner, I arrived home around 7:20ish in the pm. Just in time for Sportscentre. As I sat on my sofa, I turned on the tele and caught the end of the early/Malaysian edition of the popular sports news program.

Then there was this segment regarding the Asia Cup that caught my eye. Throughout the competition, I was watching it on TV and always thought of going. Never actually bothered to put my thoughts into action... until now! So I popped open the HP laptop and typed "Asian Cup" in Google. Got the official website on the first link!

So I gathered information about the game in Bukit Jalil. There was a game on Wednesday and also found out how to get tickets. I immediately called Vig, "Chaaaa, wanna go to an Asian Game semis tomorrow ah?"

    "Shit! Who's playing cha?"

"Iraq vs South Korea man!" I remembered the last time we went for a sports match in Bukit Jalil was the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup last year. So Vig was all up for it but not before checking with Naomie and would call me later to confirm. I was getting all excited about going to the match. I was even looking for my South Korea t-shirt! Amidst all the planning, I realized forgetting to check the time of the match. So I checked the website again.

To my dismay, I found out that the match started at 6:20pm! Vig confirmed with me he wouldn't be able to make it. He gets off work at 6. That would be the last match in Malaysia. So no semi-finals this year then.

This would be a much better post if I actually went for the match...
